James Michael Wiles

Background

Mike was born and raised in Blairs, Virginia until he was 17 years old.  Blairs is a rural farm community just 5 minutes north of Danville and 30 miles south of Lynchburg, Virginia on Route 29.  Interestingly, Mike has two older siblings, both are law enforcement officers in southern Virginia, one is a retired Sheriff Deputy from the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office and the other is a Corporal on the Danville Police department.   

Experience

Mike has over 30 years of Military service and currently serves as the Senior Army advisor to the Adjutant General for the State of Colorado.  

Mike also worked for both Aspen Pointe and Rocky Mountain Human Services as a Case Worker.  In these roles, Mike connected veterans with housing, employment, and other services which served to assist individual transitions.  

Education

Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Virginia State University, a Masters of Arts in Management from Webster University, a Masters of Science in Information Systems from Auburn University, and a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Warning Analysis from the National Intelligence University.  Mike also holds a number of IT certifications
